Alternate Program Manager

As an Alternate Program Manager with Exigent Services, LLC, you'll be part of a talented team that will support our Public Affairs, and Strategic Communication customer by developing and implementing communication strategies, processes, and products, with ongoing program evaluation and research to expand the implementation of practices.

You will:
  • Identify and implement technology solutions (e.g., enterprise project management tools) to streamline communication processes, improve staff collaboration, and support leadership situational awareness.
  • Design and manage a dashboard providing a public affairs common operating picture, integrating real-time assessments, tailored leader and employee views, and project management tools to inform communication strategies.
  • Support the annual update and optimization of organizational SOPs, ensuring alignment with communication goals and industry standards.
  • Leverage industry tools to enhance situational awareness of trending media and social media conversations, supporting crisis communication response and Army brand awareness.
  • Establish and optimize planning and briefing frameworks to guide communication goals from research to execution, ensuring consistent use across the Army communications enterprise.
  • Evaluate and recommend methods to improve Army communication processes, identify performance metrics, and assess campaign or operational designs for alignment with Army priorities.
  • Support efficient meeting workflows and coordination, leveraging Microsoft 365 tools to streamline communication planning, execution, and analysis.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing communication documents, ensuring all materials are staff-ready and aligned with Army standards for approval and dissemination.
  • Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive communication plans, including research, stakeholder coordination, multimedia product development, and plan assessment, ensuring alignment with Army communication objectives.
  • Produce high-quality multimedia content (e.g., graphics, videos, playbooks) following Army branding guidelines for use across digital platforms, websites, and social media, while maintaining on-site graphic design and multimedia capabilities.
  • Customize and maintain SharePoint sites and the Army Public Affairs Portal, ensuring content accuracy, accessibility, and usability, and provide technical support to users and stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute key communication events, such as Medal of Honor ceremonies and the AUSA Annual Meeting, while drafting briefing materials, communication products, and after-action reports to measure impact and effectiveness.
You will have:
  • United States Citizenship; sponsorship is not available.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communication or a related field.
  • Fifteen years of demonstrated professional experience, with 5 years of continuous experience at the strategic level.
  • Experience supporting the Army or Military operations.
    Fluency in the English language and ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • The ability to conduct research and analysis work on an Advanced level is required.
  • Must be proficient in manipulating a variety of the top industry platforms with sophisticated Boolean searches.
