Exigent Services is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator who will be responsible for managing the software and hardware involved in operating a computer network.
- Track network traffic and activity, install and configure software updates, and perform database backups to restore and protect user information.
- Organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems.
- Provides day-to-day system administration, including system and resource optimization and user assistance.
- Conducts capacity and performance analysis and offers recommendations for system configuration changes and upgrades.
- Enhances system administrator efficiency and accuracy through automated tools and scripts, develops system administrator procedures, and conducts training and skills assessments.
- Determines computer user needs, analyzes system capabilities, and controls programming techniques.
- Performs system capacity analysis and planning, maintains servers, creates monitoring reports and logs, and ensures the functionality of system links.
- Manages configuration and documentation of network and system topologies.
- Prepares technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions, including actions, milestones, timelines, and critical paths for complete solutions.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the organization’s hardware, software, and network components, in addition to familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, current equipment and technologies in use, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools.
- Plan, organize, and document complex system design activities and configure systems to align with USCYBERCOM policies and procedures.
- An Active DoD-issued TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of system administrator experience.
- Minimum of a BS/BA degree.
- Minimum of DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAT Level I Certification.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; excellent communication skills.
- Experience working with US Embassy country teams, theater combatant commanders, and foreign partners to establish and maintain relationships supportive of DoD objectives.
- Experience working across Defense and interagency partners to inform and support policy analysis decisions.
- Experience working in a major headquarters staff level.
- Experience with the Defense strategy for operating in Cyberspace, the Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR), the National Disclosure Policy (NDP), and Global Force Management (GFM).
- Experience with drafting decision memos, briefing papers, and other papers on international affairs topics in preparation for international meetings, including briefing senior leaders.
- Possession of excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A Master\'s degree.
