Cyberspace Asset Manager – Level II
Description

The Cyberspace Asset Manager Level II provides enterprise-level lifecycle management of information technology (IT) assets in support of U.S. Cyber Command operations. This role is responsible for ensuring precise accountability, tracking, reconciliation, validation, and documentation of hardware and software assets in strict accordance with DoD policies and organizational standards. The position delivers operational support to asset management systems, performs continuous data quality assurance, and coordinates closely with technical and logistics stakeholders to sustain mission-ready infrastructure. The incumbent is expected to uphold the highest standards of accuracy, data integrity, and regulatory compliance while driving proactive asset oversight and process improvement. Performance is measured by data accuracy, timeliness of reconciliation and corrective actions, adherence to policy, and overall stakeholder satisfaction in support of mission-critical cyber operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and administer the enterprise asset management system, ensuring accurate lifecycle tracking of all IT assets from acquisition through disposition.
  • Resolve asset discrepancies, reconcile untracked or discovered assets, and update records to reflect custodial, configuration, or location changes.
  • Validate asset receipt, manage vendor coordination (including RMA and warranty actions), and reconcile quantities and documentation.
  • Serve as Property Custodian or Hand Receipt Holder for Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor-Acquired Property (CAP), ensuring full accountability and compliance with DoD policy.
  • Conduct scheduled quality assurance reviews and periodic physical inventories to ensure data accuracy and reconcile system-of-record discrepancies.
  • Manage stock locations, shipping/receiving logs, chain-of-custody documentation, and secure transfer records for sensitive or classified equipment.
  • Coordinate secure disposal, destruction, or degaussing of end-of-life equipment and media in accordance with DoD and NSA guidance.
  • Support enterprise infrastructure operations by providing troubleshooting assistance using remote access and management tools to isolate and resolve technical issues.
  • Coordinate and support short- and long-term asset management initiatives, including data analysis, system improvements, and process optimization.
  • Maintain current knowledge of hardware, software, and configuration changes impacting asset accountability and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain asset management documentation, procedures, and reporting to support audits and operational requirements.
  • Provide professional customer service and effective communication with technical, logistics, and leadership stakeholders across the organization
Secondary Duties – Joint Cyber Training Center (JCTC) Support Functions
  • Oversee operational readiness of Joint Cyber Training Center (JCTC) spaces, including calendar deconfliction and optimization of training environments.
  • Validate technical requirements for training events and coordinate with network, systems, and facility teams to ensure full-spectrum operational support.
  • Ensure training and infrastructure equipment is mission-ready; manage troubleshooting, repair tracking, and excess of unserviceable assets.
  • Coordinate facility logistics, including space planning, rack and cable management, environmental compliance, and equipment staging.
  • Maintain audit-ready lifecycle management of cybersecurity hardware, software, and data assets from acquisition through secure disposition.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD policies and cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CMMC, STIGs) and support ATO documentation, audits, and inspections.
  • Monitor and remediate asset-related vulnerabilities in coordination with ISSO/ISSM and cybersecurity teams.
  • Develop reporting, dashboards, SOPs, and leadership briefings; provide continuity support during surge or mission-critical operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • 5–7 years of experience in IT asset management within enterprise environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Remedy Action Request System or equivalent IT service management tool.
  • Experience using enterprise remote access tools to conduct troubleshooting and issue isolation.
  • Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or similar configuration management tools.
  • Knowledge of Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems and related audiovisual multimedia technologies.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • At least one of the following certifications: ITIL Practitioner, Security+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • CAPM certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Experience supporting DoD or federal enterprise environments.

The Cyberspace Asset Manager Level II is expected to maintain high standards of accuracy, data integrity, and compliance. The position requires proactive management of asset records, effective coordination with technical and logistics stakeholders, and continuous process improvement to support mission-critical cyber operations. Performance will be measured by data accuracy, timeliness of reconciliation actions, compliance with policies, and customer satisfaction.
