The Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response (NSIR), Division of Security Operations (DSO), Information Security Branch (ISB), mission is critical efforts in the review and declassification of historical classified documents.
The Inventory Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with Executive Order 13526 and Department of Energy (DOE) classification policies, contributing to national transparency and historical accountability. Candidates will work with sensitive materials requiring Top Secret clearance and must demonstrate expertise in classification protocols, analytical review, and secure document handling.
- Maintain inventory of classified and unclassified historical records.
 - Track document movement and storage.
 - Support review teams with document retrieval and control.
 
- An Active Top Secret Clearance.
- In lieu of a Top Secret level clearance, Secret Clearance may be accepted.
 
 - A High school diploma.
- An Associates degree or high is strongly preferred.
 
 - One to two years of experience in document inventory or records management or archival systems.
 - Familiarity with secure document handling protocols.
 - Strong organizational and data entry skills.
